Chromophobe RCC Biomarker Discovery Initiative
Support scientific efforts to identify, validate, and develop biomarkers specific to chromophobe renal cell carcinoma.
The Chromophobe RCC Biomarker Discovery Initiative supports scientific efforts to identify, validate, and develop biomarkers specific to chromophobe renal cell carcinoma, with priority given to projects focusing on metastatic disease. Funding goals will be reviewed annually. If funding goals are not met, funds may roll over to the next year or be reallocated but must be used for research related to chromophobe RCC.
Scope of Funding
Donations to this fund will support activities that may include, but are not limited to:
- Biospecimen collection, processing, and storage
- Laboratory analysis of patient samples
- Biomarker discovery and validation studies
- Data analysis and computational biology support
- Collaboration with research institutions and industry partners
- Patient engagement and consent processes for sample donation
Impact Areas
This baseline funding level will enable COA to support activities such as:
- Funding promising biomarker research projects
- Contributing to existing biobanking initiatives
- Supporting collaborative biomarker investigation
- Advancing research partnerships with institutions studying chromophobe RCC
- Catalyzing new investigations into metastatic disease biomarkers
